Camp Brotherhood is an
exempt, 501(c)3 charitable
organization...
As such,
we are limited
by the IRS to providing service to other federally
recognized 501(c)3
charitable organizations.
Examples include (but are not limited to) churches/synagogues, public & private schools
or state/local/federal government agencies. Groups such as these, which use the
facility for religious, character-building, benevolent or
protective & rehabilitative social-services
will likely qualify as acceptable.
If your non-profit organization is not a school,
church or government agency, then ask your accountant if a donation made
to your organization would be tax deductible on your federal income
taxes? If no, then you are probably not a 501(c)3.
Being a recognized Washington State
non-profit does not qualify your organization.
